Out and About: Brewer’s Alley (2)

Last updated on October 23, 2010 by Liza Hawkins

I’ve been to Brewer’s Alley lots of times – heck, I’ve even blogged about it this year already. Yesterday I went for lunch as part of my next Leadership Frederick County session. Have I mentioned how much I love that LFC supports the local businesses, but especially local restaurants?
I had to pre-order my lunch from a list of five entrées two weeks ago, and I chose Blue Cheese Steak. No details about prep, accompaniments, etc., and since my order was so long ago, I had completely spaced on exactly what it was anyway. For some reason I had a steak salad stuck in my head, maybe from my recent visit to Rocky Gap?
Anyway, what I got was definitely not salad – but that’s okay because it was absolutely delicious!

When the server brought my plate out, the steak was literally the size of my forearm. FOR LUNCH. Whoa. But, I ate the entire thing, along with the blue cheese on top, and the creamy mashed potatoes beneath. In fact, I nearly licked my plate it was so good. Yeah. THIS may be my new favorite from Brewer’s, and I’m already a big fan of their wood-fired pizza.

Hi, I'm Liza — a self-proclaimed word-nerd who loves getting lost in whimsical stories and epic movies. I have laid-back, practical attitude towards life and am always on the hunt for good eats, easy recipes, binge-worthy shows, relaxing road trip destinations, the perfect fizzy gin cocktail, and time to finish my novel!

  1. I HAVE had their crab dip – so good. 🙂 The only time I wasn’t pleased with the food was when they cooked a buffet pasta dinner for a large group I was with. It was “okay” but not up to their usual caliber.
