Musings: What the Peep?

Last updated on April 28, 2011 by Liza Hawkins

I was reading the Prime Parents’ Club Facebook wall the other day and stumbled upon a question about leftover Easter candy and creative ways to use it. Neat, huh?
Fondue and “stuffing it in a drawer until it’s forgotten,” were the two answers. Heh.
Both techniques may work well for chocolate, or even hard candy. Jelly beans? They never go bad!
But, what about Peeps? Here’s the package from my daughter’s basket:

Stale chicken-shaped globs of odd tasting sugar – these are of no use to me. How in the world would one creatively use these leftover chicks….
I suppose the bigger questions should be, if my kids don’t like them, why in the world would I continue to buy them?

Yeah.
