Saturday night I met several food blogger buddies at Frederick’s very own Family Meal. I’ve eaten there several times before, but there has been one treat that’s eluded me with every trip:
Adult “boozy” milkshakes.
That’s right. They have milkshakes that contain alcohol.
Milkshakes that cost over $10.
But who’s counting?
Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie: buffalo trace, cookies, garden mint
Irish Coffee: jameson, coffee, vanilla ice cream, chocolate
Root Beer Float: root liquour, vanilla ice cream, marshmallow
Grandma’s Chocolate Orange: chocolate ice cream, triplum, cocoa marshmallow
Funny thing is, I didn’t end up getting a milkshake that night. It was about 20°F and snowy when I pulled up, and after sitting in the restaurant for a good 10 minutes, my nose was still cold.
So, instead I chose the Loaded Hot Chocolate. It was divine, but I will be going back to get my boozy milkshake.
