I told my sister, Josie, a guest blog post was in order after she mentioned making that spinach artichoke dip from the Tasty video! Enjoy!

So you know those videos of delicious recipes that fill your News Feed, and you just can’t not watch? There’s one that pops up on a regular basis, with delicious looking, gooey, spinach artichoke dip and toasty rolls.

Yeah. That one. I made that.

Before I started, I was pretty sure it was going to be the Tasty equivalent of a Pinterest fail. I imagined misshapen rolls stuck to the sides, and the dip thin and melted all under the bread. Basically I was prepared for a total disaster.

To my surprise, though, it worked! Really well, actually.

I didn’t have frozen rolls so I made this recipe for easy dinner rolls. They were pretty easy and also delicious. You only need a half recipe for this, so I used the other half to make bread sticks in case there wasn’t a good bread/dip ratio. We didn’t end up needing the bread sticks because the ratio was actually spot on.

Once I made the dough, I followed the recipe directly from the video. So easy!

The only problem is now I will want to make all the recipes. All of them.

Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip Bread Ring

Yield: 8–10 servings
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes

This ooey-gooey spinach and artichoke dip, inspired by the viral Tasty video, is baked right inside a bread ring for the ultimate party centerpiece. Perfect for game day, family movie night, or any time you want warm, cheesy comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 220 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) mayonnaise or sour cream (or both for extra creaminess!)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (or Romano)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella, plus extra for topping
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (or 2 for garlic lovers)
  • Salt, pepper, and a pinch of dried basil (optional)
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • ~120 g (½ cup) frozen spinach, thawed and well‑drained
  • 1 round loaf or a ring of dinner‑roll dough (store‑bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. In a bowl, whip together the softened cream cheese, mayo/sour cream, garlic, Parmesan, mozzarella, and seasonings until dreamy.
  3. Gently fold in the artichokes and spinach—this dip is where the green magic happens!
  4. Hollow out the center of your bread round (or shape your dough into a ring), reserving the removed bread for munching.
  5. Spoon the dip into the center—and sprinkle a little extra mozzarella on top because cheese is a mood.
  6. Bake for about 25–30 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly. Let it rest for 5 minutes (if you can wait that long), then dig in!

Kid-Friendly Twist: Let little hands sprinkle on the cheese or help stuff the bread ring. It’s an appetizer and an activity—family togetherness, served warm!

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze as much water as possible from the thawed spinach so your dip stays creamy, not watery.
  • You can prep the dip mixture a day ahead and refrigerate; just fill the bread ring before baking.
  • Swap the bread ring for an oven-safe dish if you prefer to serve with crackers, chips, or veggie sticks.
  • Leftovers (if you have any!) reheat beautifully in the oven at 160°C (325°F) for about 10 minutes.
