Love of reading started as a young child, when I devoured everything from Laura Ingalls Wilder tales to Stephen King thrillers. Then, as an English major in college, I learned how to breeze through books at record pace and quickly developed a preference for a certain type of voice: one that speaks directly to the reader with wit and humor.
And while my childhood love of reading easily transformed into an adulthood full of dogeared novels, magazines, and cookbooks, I was never able to find a writing outlet that stuck, until the birth of (a)Musing Foodie in 2010, in which I chronicles my journeys into all things food.
Finding a way to decompress is critical, whether it's a long jog, yoga, meditation, a warm bath, journaling, etc. Or, in my case, thumbing through recipes, creating a menu, and choreographing a cooking routine in the kitchen - it's about the entire process.
I also adore restaurants, reading anything relating to food by way of cookbook, novel, magazine, website, watching food-themed movies and TV shows, strolling through isles of food gadgets, and even grocery shopping without my kids.
Follow my journey as (a)Musing Foodie....
