Frederick Restaurant Week 2015 runs March 2-8, and the list of participating restaurants is mouth watering this year. Drool-worthy, even!

It’s that time of year again, Frederick!!!

Frederick Restaurant Week 2015

I was invited to the Frederick Restaurant Week 2015 “Sneak Peek” last weekend, hosted again by Downtown Frederick Partnership and Visit Frederick. These preview tastings are always a treat! What’s more fun than enjoying great food alongside the company of other regional food bloggers and writers?

The larger group, about 15 people, was broken up into three different tour segments, each smaller group spending time at two different restaurants and then ending the afternoon at JoJos’s Restaurant & Tap House.

Here’s how my afternoon went:

Distillery Lane Ciderworks

We met at the Visitor’s Center and kicked things off by trying three different ciders from Distillery Lane Ciderworks. YUM!

Bushwaller’s

My fivesome started at Bushwaller’s (it’d been ages since I last ate there), and enjoyed a heaping plate of Irish Nachos – light and fluffy potato wedges with a crispy outside, cheddar cheese, red onions, sour cream, fresh tomatoes, and jalapenos.

If they sound ridiculous, it’s because they were. In the most dreamy, foodie-licious way possible. YUM! Bushwaller’s plans on using their regular menu during restaurant week, so no surprises there!

Brewer’s Alley

Next up was a flight of beer paired with four different courses at Brewer’s Alley. FOUR COURSES. I don’t care if they’re only small bites, we were crazy-full when we left. From deep fried Brussels sprouts with bratwurst, to a roasted vegetable stack balanced atop a creamy goat cheese medallion, we were more than satisfied.

JoJo’s Restaurant & Tap House

Lastly we landed at JoJo’s with the whole group, and enjoyed cider and beer tastings along with a green chicken burger and deconstructed tuna taco with Doritos (!!!) dust. I love how they’re always thinking out of the box at JoJo’s!
