American Food Holidays | January 21 – 27

After a recent spell of warmer weather that merely flirted with winter, we’re about to pay our dues here in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Today we’re predicted to have temps around 40 and potential wintry weather after Noon. This is the warm day of the week, and a couple days from now? Highs in the 20s. THE TWENTIES.

Those of you north of me may be guffawing. I get it.

But that’s stupid cold in my book! We’ve had snow already in Maryland, and we’re all past the holidays, so spring can come now, as far as I’m concerned!

Perhaps the only good thing about this crazy cold snap is its lovely germ-killing qualities, and for that I will be thankful.

Starting off this week’s American Food Holidays with New England Clam Chowder is perfect….
