September 4 | National Macadamia Nut Day
September 4 is National Macadamia Nut Day.
Have you ever had one? A macadamia nut, I mean.
They’re kind of expensive here in the United States because they’re really only produced commercially by a couple of locations, Australia being the largest, handling 40% of the world’s macadamia nut production.
In case you wondered.
The macadamia nut itself is kind of soft and sweet – perfect for finely chopping and using as a crust for chicken or fish, and exquisite as a cookie component.
Just ask Michelle a.k.a. Brown Eyed Baker, whose recipe for White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies I stumbled across on my quest for a great pin to add to the Pinterest American Food Holidays board.
Mouth-watering, no?

Mouthwatering… NO! They are g.r.o.s.s. lol!! I am not a fan.
@Stefanie – LOL! Well, oh well.
