Musings: Reflect, Rebuild and Renew

I expect 2011 to be a great year. Our little family has spent the past couple of years bouncing back from debilitating illness, job loss, job change, new babies, and various other life changing events. Now I feel as though we’ve hit our stride, and the thought of tackling new endeavors is really exciting – especially as it relates to my writing and this blog.
Though still a newbie in the world of blogging (I hit the six month mark this month!), I feel as though my writing and thoughts have been appreciated by more than…well…my friends and family. I’ve been flattered by my blogging peers to be asked to contribute to their wonderful blogs, publications and websites. I was selected by Foodbuzz to be a Featured Publisher, and I’ve participated in several food contests, including being selected as one of the 100 food bloggers to host a POM Wonderful dinner party in November. I wasn’t a finalist, but my table-scape WAS featured on their website. Go me! Plus, I think this blog and my social networking have rekindled old real-life relationships that may not have otherwise had a rebirth – specifically Jessica (@JessicaNow) and Erica (@MommysStillFab). Oh – and have you checked out my Facebook page?
Other exciting opportunities are presenting themselves for next year, including going to my first blogger conference in May: Bloggy Boot Camp in Boston. I’m pretty totally psyched! Details to come on the other opportunities later….
What do you have to be proud of in 2010, and perhaps more importantly, what are you looking forward to being proud of in 2011?

  1. You’ve only been blogging for 6 months?!? HOW CAN THAT BE?!?

You’re awesome. I’m so glad we connected online. You’re an (almost) daily source of laughter. Thank you for that. (Oh, and you have really good foodie info, too…)

  2. Thanks Jackie! :) I should have also added “starting new friendships” as part of the 2010 successes directly related to this blog (maybe) with a hyperlink to you.
